In this exhibition Good will. Best intentions. Terrible misunderstanding. 2017. I will provide a statement taken from the website of Kunst Bezirk Stuttgart, which I have translated in english.

Optimistic striving and constant trying motivate the interaction of individuals. In contrast, there is misunderstanding, the failure of interpersonal communication, and ultimately resignation. The reason for this failure is the discrepancy between the moment of identification and the dichotomy. The resulting self-reflective processes are the subject of the film Persona (Ingmar Bergman, 1966), from which the title of the exhibition is quoted. The term persona also describes the mask of ancient theater through which actors spoke. Transferred, he refers to the social role or character of each individual, both in the factual and in the virtual world. In the exhibition Good Will. Best intentions. Terrible misunderstanding. Students of the class of Prof. Birgit Brenner (State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart) in cooperation with Jörg Mandernach show works with which they sound out different aspects of this subject.

My Journals 2017

For this group show I requested to install my work along a column that was perfect in applying a round like structure necessary to provide a circular form for which my very private journals were placed. Accompanying my journals were tiny monitor displays mounted on the wall. Videos of the state that I find myself in through motherhood, looking back at my wild youth and storytelling to the viewer as they may leaf through the pages of my very personal experiences.
